Every reading comes from a source that is free to query, so one more domain costs us almost nothing to track. A cap would exist only to sell you the removal of the cap.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes, for the tracking core, permanently. No trial clock, no seat count. Paid products come later as additions, not a fence around this.
What’s the catch on “no cap”?
The anonymous checker is rate limited and bulk lookups need an account. What isn’t capped is how many of your own domains you track.
How far back does history go?
Rating history starts the day you add a domain — the upstream only publishes today’s value, so it can’t be backfilled. Rank is different: we pull a real 40-day window immediately.
What if a source starts charging?
Each source sits behind its own adapter, so swapping one is contained. Any change that affects you lands on the changelog first.
How often is a domain read?
Once a day for everything that moves — rating, rank, certificate, DNS and AI crawler policy. Registration is read once and then left alone, because it does not change.
Do I need to add DNS records or a script?
No. Every reading is taken from the public internet, so nothing has to be installed on your site and nothing needs access to it. The badge is a plain image tag.
Is my list of domains private?
Yes. Your portfolio is only visible to your account. The badge is the one thing you can choose to make public, and only for the domains you put it on.
What happens if I stop using it?
The record stays. Nothing is deleted for inactivity, and you can export the full history at any time — it is a table of dated readings, not a proprietary format.
Can I track domains I do not own?
Yes. Everything read here is public, so a competitor or an acquisition target works the same way as your own. The dashboard is built portfolio-first, but nothing stops you.
Why does the rating differ from what I see elsewhere?
Different vendors crawl different subsets of the web, so their numbers rarely agree. What matters for tracking is the direction and the size of the move within one series, not the absolute figure.
